SEED POTATOES FOR MAORIS
(Special to Gisborno Times.) Wellington, last night. It was stated by Mr (lorries this alter noon that thorn had been numerous com-
plaints concerning the method of tho distribution of seed potatoes given by tho Government to tho Maoris. He said it was alleged that in soiuo oases n.ativos who w.ro able to support themselves had 3,011 supplied with pot a torn, whilst o ill ore who wore well deserving had not shared at all in the distribution. The Native Minister said that tho potatoes were distributed thnugb tbe schoolmasters, aud that tiio police assisted iu tbo work.
