PRESS ASSOCIATION Napier, last night. The Hawke’s Bay golf championship mee.'iog was continued to day. The following are the winners of the first round of tho championships:— Ladies’ championship: Mesd imes Moore and Ivirupe Tareha, Mieses Soott, Beatson, McLean, Todd, Jardine, and Bennett. Men’s ohampionship : V. E Harman, Kurupo Tareha, H. J. Smith, D. W. Strang, E. S, Pearce, G. Thorburn, F. L. Gordon, and J. Garold.
The ladies’ driving and approaching was won by Miss Bennett. Napier No. 1 team won tho Williams Cup. C. D. and A. A. Kennedy tied for the men’s strong game. Threo pairs tied in the ladies' four-ball bogey match, and will play off. There was good weather,
