At His Majesty’s Theatre last evening 11 The World’s Pictures ” were shown to a largo and appreciative audienoe, Tho exhibition is certainly the best of tbe kind that has some this way, tho programme submitted containing items to suit all miuds. The humorous pictures were exceptionally good, and laughter reigned supreme whilst the story in regard to each tuojeot was unfolded. Perhaps the most popular items "Tit for Tat,” “ The man wiih the ladder and the hose,” and "Everybody works but Father," "The
lost leg of mutton,” 11 The bicycle thief,” "The child stealer,” and "Tho Dam family ’’ were also worthy of epeoial mention. One of Urbano’s kiuomategraph machines was used, and tbe pictures W6re shown to tho utmost advantage. Mies Louie Whitford rendered several vocal
numbers in a most capable manner, and Mr Brooke?, a' first-class baritone singer, pleased the audienoe with two songs, an encore being demanded to eaoh. The msnagemeut announced that it was iu tended to exhibit a number of views of tbo funeral of tbe late Hon. R. J. Seddoi, and these will be shown tbis evening. Tbe entertainment is one that is deserving of eupport, and there should be large audienoe for tbe remaining nights of the season.
