STATE TENANTS.
Special to the Times. Wellington, last night. The ory for a reduction of rents on the part of State tenants in the North Island has already set iD, and the Minister for Lands, accompanied by Mr Hall, M.H.B , will leave in the morning for Danneviike to inquire into the grievances of Bottlers on the Tamaki No. 2 Block, who complain that their rents are too high. The freeholders aro asking what will happen with a numerous Ssate tenantry when ptioes are low and thero is a slump, if at the very height of the colony’s prosperity it is necessary to riduce rentals.
