SALE AT MATAWHERO YARDS,
There was only a moderate attendance at the Matawhero stock sales yesterday, when ihe combined firms hold thoir usual sa'os.
Messrs Common, Skolton and Co, and Dalgety and Co. bad not as largo an offering as usual, sovoral promised lines not
coming forward. Beef cows sold up to £6, light Bteers at £4, and heifers from 36s ta j£L 15*. One cow close to calving brought j£s 17s. Sheep soid at recent •prices. A good lino of 252 hogget3 were parsed in at 13s. Messrs Williams and Ket’-la and the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile had a
