The two-year old son of a farmer al Cardiff was missed yesterday afternooD and not recovered tili 8.30 this morning having spent the night in the open, wiihout food, oo the bank of the Paiea river. Tho police and settlers maintained an uq. successful search throughout the nighf This morning the ohild’a cries attracted the attention of two moa on the opposite side of the river, who found him apparently none tho worse for the adventure The night was bitterly oold, aod it is con-’ sidered remarkable that a young child could withstand the exposure.
