The comments of Dr, McGregor in reference to tbe Wellington Benovolent Trußt aroused some discussion at tbe meeting of tbe Board of Trustees. The Inspector-General is statod to have declared publicly that they never intended to provido for maternity oases at Obiro Homo, and oven approached tbe Government for aid to meet tho urgent need for some place for destitute lying in cases. Now as to tho above declaration tbe Trustees are in this dilemma, either they hare a place for urgont oases at Ohiro Homo (which they say they have not) or it seems that thoy have obtft’.md money from tbo Charitable Aid Board under false pretences. Dr. McGregor a'so complained that the details of accounts passed for payment were not given in the minutes or by reference to the schedule, and thero wero “ other unsatisfactory details.”
