Dissatisfaction With the G overnment.
J (Special to Times.) Wellington, last night. 1 There is at the present time a consider- - able amount of dissatisfaction in the • ranks of the Ministerial Party. This dis-. ; satisfaction is now being pretty openly ex-. , pressed and it will require all Sir Joseph Ward's tact and diplomacy to prevent its being fanned into a llamc. The trouble over the Chairmanship of Committees, and the mistake of not having Auckland represented on the Lands Committee, have not tended to smooth the malcontents, and in addition Mr ltutherford's country party is on the war path. The speeches of certain members on the Government side of the House during the financial debate are being awaited with more than ordinary interest. A number of members are saying that they intend to express their opinions somewhat freely and though the session is likely to be a short one, it is not at all likely to be dull The following session after Sir Joseph Ward’s return from the Imperial Conference is in the opinion of members generally likely to bo still more lively. Politics in New Zealand have not been in so interesting a position I for many years.
