Figures supplied to the Gore Standard by tho Secretary of the Mataura Dairy Faotory show that the industry is responsible for suppliers lifting big cheques. o ue, milkiDg 36 cows, sent 18,760 gallons of 10£ lb. His cheque per the Beason amounted to £399 83, equal to 53 Id per gallon, or over 11 per eow. Another with 15 cow 3 sent 10,273 gallons, his cheque amounting to £202, equal to 4'72 pmee a gallon, about £l3 10j par oow. A third, wiib 22 cows, supplied 13,070 gallons, the cheque being £265, nearly £l2 per cow.
