PRESS ASSOCIATION DunediD, last night. Ia oonneotion with tbe action of the Railway Department ia connecting tbe new railway station with the main inter oepting sewer without the Braird's authority and without notioe, a telegram wag sent to the Minister for Railways, asking if this bad been done on bis authority, and i£ so, by what authority. A reply was received from tbe Minister that he was making enquiry into the matter. Tbe matter was again disoassed by tbe Board to-day. The ohairman said the railway people were putting in pure lime, and they knew what effect that would have on drainegs pipes. When spoken to, tbe reply was that lime was cheaper than ohloride of lime. He thought the treatment they bad reoeivel was contemptuous. He would like to know what their repre. sentatives were doing. It was resolved that the oonneotion be effectively stopped.
