PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Rsoeived 10.43 p.m., August 14. Sydney, August 14,
The wholesale quotation for best butter is thirteen pence, the highest for three years. In addition to the usual shortage at this season of tho year, a large demand for tho unsalted artiole for export bared the market, the principal factories being offered premiums, in some caies of over a farthing over tho matket prioo, for tbo production of this clais. To meet tbe shortage in salted, large importations have been made from Melbourne, but orders have now been sent to producing districts which exported, the result being tho easing of the market in the near future.
