SPIRITUALISM.
(To the Editor Gisborne Times.) Sir, —I noticed 10 your issue of yestorday that tho Rev. Parry declares tbo source of his erode quoting Acts 2, 38. Now, io the last lice of Acta 2, 33, is stated, “ and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” The gifts of the Holy Ghost are stated in 1 Car. 12, 1 to 12, and if the Itov. Parry and the Spiritualists and the 11 Not a Spiritualist ” will kindly read 1 Cor. 12, 10, they will probably Bad that they haye been each viewing the samo subject, but each from a different stand point. 1 Cor. 12 20, runs :“ To another the working of miracles ; to another prophecy ; to another discerning of spirits ; to ancthor divers kinds of tongues ; io another the interpretation of tongues and 1 Cor, 12, 4, reads: “Now there aro divoi sides of g £h but the same Bphli.” It is qu-te obvious that each of your letter-writers are actuated by the same spirit, and that likewise their gifts are diverse, but there is m need for them to arguo about ii.—Yours, etc., BACKSLIDER.
