Christchurch, last night.
The Chairman of the Exhibition Exeou* live Commissioners states that the requirements of the Underwriters’ Association, by way of improving and augmenting the fire prevention appliances provided by the Exhibition authorities, have been agreed upoD, and will now be carried out, aud in consideration thereof the Association will reconsider the tariff and fix what it considers a reasonable rate on the Exhibitionbuildings and contents from the time the buildings are taken over from the con» tractors until 31sl May, 1907.
