The Attorney-General indicates that when the anti-Gambling Bill becomes law the publication of betting and the winnerß of Tattersall’s sweeps wifi be prohibited. The Cricket Association removed the suspension from six players, with a condition that they should net hold office in the Association for three years. Four other players wifi be similarly dealt with when applying for reinstatement. It is likely the Board of Control will renew the application to the Maryiebone Club to eend out a team next season,
Received 1.10 a.m., August 8. An application for cancellation of the registration of the Wharf Laborers’ Union owing to the action of the Union in rejecting applications for enrolment of members was dismissed by the Arbitration Court. The Judge favored caooellatioD, but the employers and employes’ representatives on the Bench dissented.
