Tho naval court at Valparaiso was strongly of opinion that the fire aboard the barque Pitcairn Island originated in spontaneous combustion among some to w shipped in Dunedin. PRESS ASSOCIATION DunediD, last roight. With reference fo the cablegram from Valparaiso, stating that the fire on the Pitcairn Island originated among tow ebipped at Danedin, the vessel did not take a single bale of tow at this port. She took on board 700 bales of tow in Wellington, and came to Dunedin, where she loaded wool, bnt not tow.
