Dr. James Stewart’s personality has been declared at one hundred and thirtyfour thousand psunde. He bequeathed twenty-five thousand pounds to the Melbourne University to found a scholarships for enatomy, medicine, and surgery. He bequeathed ten thousand pounds between Trinity, Ormond, Q reen’e, and tbe Wesleyan Colleges, and three thousand pounds to tbe Ballarat School of Mines. There are minor bequests to other Ballarat Institutions, and the remainder goos to the family.
