AOTEA WRECK
No further bodies have yet been found of the crew of the ill fated Bohooner Aotea. I'ho wreck is lying abovo the high water line on the boulders at the moush of the creek. Everything has been stripped off the deck, and tbo deck csrgo, masts, and deck fittings lie littered along the shorr. The bottom of the boas is undamaged, whioh proves that the vessel must have oapsized at sea. The cargo in the hold appears in good order, Tho vessel was explored by means of holos bvokon in the sides. Tba bodies of Captain and Mrs Nicolas were washed ashore about 200 yards east of the wreck The ship's boat, with two oars in it, camu ashore about the same distance to the east of tho wreck, The Aden was observed at anchor at 4 p.m. on Mondoy, find about a couple of hours later was some distance from the anchorog , apparently mskicig nn effort to get out. The wreck was discovered early on tbs follow!! g morning. An inquest has been held on she bodies at Waipiro. The Tuatea will bedispatchod to Waipiro to bring the bodies ti Captain and Mrs Nicolas to Gieborpo for burial.
