A boat put ashore from the Haupiri yesterday afternoon to obtain instructions as to Whether the vessel should wait in tho roadstead or proceed. When returning the boat was unable to regain the ship, owing to the flood water being so strong, and the boat was run on tho beach near the leading light. A crowd quicklygathered, and for a time it was feared that something very serious had happened. The boat was pulled well up on the beach, and the men were none tho worse for their exertions and the wetting they got in landing,
