During wedding festivities at Bairns* dale the bridegroom’s father was found hanging to a tree near the houeo, As the guests dispersed five crossed the river in a flit-bottomed boat, whioh ospsiz;d in tho darkness. A desperate struggle occurred, A girl olutohed a boy and dragged him down. A man named Moßrien gallantly reeeued both. The others readied the bank safely.
