LABOR MATTERS,
(Per Press Association.) Auokland, last night. At a largely attended meeting of the Auckland Tiaies and Labor Council, the secretaiy, Mr A tbur Rosßer, sent in his resignation, owing to the motion of noconfidence moved at the previous meeting, and which was only defeated by the casting vote of the chairman. Mr Rosser appeared for the T iilorosses’ Union before the Arbitration Court in tho tailors’ dispute, and objected to pertain tailors’ demand on behajf of ibe ta’loressee, The Tailors' Union declared that he should not have opposed the principal demands of labor. After a warm discussion the resig na ion was first seoepted, and then Mr Rosser was re elected unanimously on the vole s.
