CHAPTER OF ACCIDENTS.
Auckland, yesterday
Quite a chapter of accidents happened on the various athletic grounds on Satur- 1 day afternoon. In the North ShoreGrafton football match, played at North Shore, T. Marshall collided with a North Shore player, and had liis collar bone 1 dislocated, and had to retire from the game. In the same match Yeolamh a I North Shore player, received a nasty kick 1 .in the face, and several other players received minor injuries. A Parnell jqnio.r, I named Flower, received a severe knock in I the chest from the knee of an opposing player, and hud to be taken off the field. He Was treated by Dr Hardie Neil. I During the progress of the Auckland A I and University hockey match there were four accidents, Kavanagh, the Auckland I captain, collided with another player early in the second spell, and received a nasty blow on the head, which necessitated his leaving the field. Mason, an . Auckland forward, fell heavily, and was disabled for a short time. Bauds and Tinsley, both , University forwards, were also hurt. Tinsley received a cut above the left eye, and Bands received a blow _on the leg, which completely disabled him, and will ■ prevent him from playing again for some
