Bir Edward Groy, in reply to Mosers Ddlon, Paul and Byleos, the latter of whom is anxious to savo the Uvbb of Cap- | tain Bull’s murdorors, stated that the officers whon attacked surrendered thoir guns end refused to fire in self-defence (Opposition oheers.) His enquiry had olioiied that tho Court was unanimous in regard to guilt, premeditation and concerted aotion, and deolarod that the officers bohaved with extrome forbearance ond solf-roskaint. The assailants persisted in their attack with groat brutality. Two of the judges wero of opinion that a British jury would have oonyioied the bix murderors.
