ROMNEY BREEDERS.
{Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. The Bomney Breeders’ Association met at Palmerston North yesterday. The sub committee appointed to arrange for an exhibit at the Obristohuroh Exhibition reported that it bad taken 200 feet of spaoe, and had oiroularised breeders, inviting them to exhibit. Wool will be taken up to December Ist. Mr B. Cobb brought forward bis notice of motion regarding the definition ol Bomney shoep, A committee, consisting of Messrs G. Wheoler, A. Matthews, E. ..Short, R. Cobb, Faltons and P. Mungavin, k / was appointed to draw up a definition of a Ljufc, typical Bomney sheep, to be submitted to the next meeting. Four new members were eleoted. The question of trimming and unfair cheating was disonssed at length. General disapproval was expressed at the approach to unfair shearing. The aotion of the Manawatu Association in adopttDg the Canterbury rule, instructing the judges to withhold prizes in caseß of clipping, was warmly approved.
