(Pic Press Association.) Dunedin, last nigbt, In (be Divoroe Court to-day a decree nisi, to be made absuluto iu three months, was granted in the oase of MoLeod v. MoLeod, wife’s petition. The parties were married at Winton, Southland. The petitioner obtained a maintenance order in October, 1899, and shortly afterwards respondent disappeared, and had not since been heard of. Threo donations of £SO each for various charities, given anonymously, have been announced during the iast three days. The first was to St. Mary’s Orphanage (Anglioan) ; the second to Sister Marie (Methodist), and the third to the Patients and Prisoners Aid Sooiety. Napier, last night, H[At the Supreme Court, to-day W. J, Castles was acquittal on a charge of assault.
