DAISY INDUSTRY.
(Per Pioss Association.) Palmerston North, last night. The N. Z. Factory, Butter tuul Cliccio Makers' Association held its annual meetting to-night. The following officers were elected ■ President, 11, M, liockoll ; Vice Presidents, Eraseh J. Middleton, and \V. B. tiwillim; Committee, B T. Soulless, A. C, ltoss, I*, J, McDonald, S, Bowman, IV, Dempster. A. .Lees, and J. Odea: Auditor, Mr C. Mclvie; Secretary and Treasurer, J. lv. Curie. A paper on home separation was read hv J. Tait, Auckland. Mr Tail, whose paper met with general approval, deprecated home separation, but where it could not be helped in the back blocks an instructor should be appointed to go in amongst dairymen and teach them. The instructor could be paid partly by Government and partly by the Dairy Companies, as the latter would benefit bv its use in value of butter. The National Dairy Association mot today, and passed fcho following resolutions : That this Association approves of the principle of insuring the buildings, plant and maobinery of its members against fire ; that it bo a reoommondation to tbe dairy companies to insure with the Farmers’ Mutual; that the Dairy Asso ciation combine to send a representative Home to watch their interests there ; that it is do-irable in any possible revision of the Customs tariff that there should bo no iooreass in the duly on dairy maohiDery.
