A TERRIBLE VOYAGE.
(Par Press Association.) Auckland, last night. Tlic Norwegian barque Agda, which arrived at Doubtless Bay on Saturday last, reported that the second mate bad died and Capt. Inversen arid crew were in a very low state of health. Dr Forbes and the Custom officer boarded the vessel, and found captain and crew in a scorbutic con
dition, with great weakness and swelling of the lower limbs, duo to want of fresh vegetables. It is doubtful if the men arc suffering from beriberi or scurvy. Dr, Frcngley, Health Officer, is endeavouring to have the vessel brought to Auckland, so that the sufferers can be treated
properly. The vessel is 81 days out from Tarrahyba, South America, bound for Tonga.
