BOWLING.
TURANGANUI CLUB.
There was a splendid attendance of bowlers at the above olnb’s green yesterday afternoon, when a pleasant time was spent. Several rink games were play od, bat all interest centred in the finals for the Janior Championship and Handioap Pairs. The results were :
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
Nasmith, jar 19 Sawyer 14 This proved a splendid game. Nasmith seoured the lead, but on the sth head Sawyer drew level—3 all. Oa the next head Nasmith scored, and lei to the finish of the game, Sawyer running him close. The eoore on the 10th head showed Nasmith 8 to 6, the laih head 11 to 10, and the 21st as above. Nasmith thus wins the bowls presented by Mr J. Colley.
HANDIOAP PAIRS. Bennett Burke Humphreys, sk 18 Colley, skip 13 Bennett and Humphreys led throughout, being 10 to 1 on the sth head, 14 to 9 on the 10th bead, and 18 to 12 on the 15tb, Buike and Colley receiving a handioap of 1 point, Bennett and Humphreys won by 5 points. Bennett and Humphreys thus win tbe splendid pair of pietures presented by Mr YouDg. The groen is to be olosed for play after tp morrow afternoon.
