OUR EXPORTS.
LARGE INCREASES.
I (Per Pres* Association.) Wellington, last night. The agricultural exports of New Zealand for May are greater than for April in all departments except dairy produce. Dairy I produce shows the decline natural to the season of the year, the exports of butter for April being valued at £117,026, and for May £60,361. As compared with Ibe exports of the previous May, both in butter and cheese, those of last month show an ! increase in value of over 100 per cent. In frozen beef, mutton, and lamb, wheat, oats and hemp, the exports for May were not only greater than for April, but were considerably greater in quantity and value than those of May, 1905. Following are the figures for last month aooording to a pamphlet issued by the D.partment of Agriculture (the qnantities given in parenthesis being those of the corresponding month of last yesr): Bat'er 12,158ewt, (6674). o.beese 15 6780 wt (7409), frozen beef 35,3740w f (23,905). frezsn mottOD, carcases, legs, and pteoss 148,02705vt (55,630), frozen lamb 171,3290 wt (102.647), wheat 3453 bushels (138), 0at5183,417 bushels (76.156), hemp 3665 tons (3182).
