Ia the Divorce Court to-day a decree nisi was granted on the wife’s petition in Bauchop v. Bauchop, restitution of conjugal rights. A decree nisi, to be made absolute in three mouths, was granted in the oase of Mollroy v. Mollroy, wife’s petition for divorce on the grounds of desertion, petitioner to have custody of the children. The respondent, who was well known as a jockey, left for Christchurch in 1900 for the Grand National Meeting, and bad not been seen or beard of since.
The takings at the doors of tbe winter show to-day reached £250, making £655 15s so far. This is behind tbe takings of last yea'. Tbe solicitors for the Cromwell and Banncckburn Collieries Company have filed a motion to prohibit tbe Conciliation Board hearing a dispute between tbe company and the looal Miners’ Union At a meeting of members of the Kaikorai Baptist Churoh it was resolved to give the Bev. Charles Dallaßton a release from his promise to aot as pastor, so that the Napier Churoh could retain his services.
At a representative meeting of delegates held to-night it waß resolved to form an association to affi’iate with the NZ. Athletic A sooiation, Mr J. Fogarty was elected president and Mr Corcoran secretary. The Caledonian Society delegates stated the society would oot join until the oentre was in full working order.
