The Gazette notifies the resignation of V, A. Bankes, M.H.R, V. 8., as Inspector nnder the Slaughtering and Inspection Act.
Bales fer the examination of masters and mates nnder the Shipping and Seamen Aot are gszstted. The Mines Department bas accepted the tender of the Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company cf Nelson at £llsO for boilers for the briquette plant at Westport, and the tender of Atkins and McKay, of Westport, £2020 14s sd, for buildings for the briquette plant.
The Gazstte announoes that four acres twenty-four perobes of the Lawry Settlement, Auckland, is set apart under the Workers’ Dwelling Act, 1905. Martin James Nash is gazetted ranger under the Animals Protection Act for Whangarei district. A new regulation is gazetted under the Government Valuation of Land Aot prescribing the form in wbioh objections must be made. An objector will have now to state his reason for objecting, and to fill in bis own estimate of tbe oapital value and the value of improvements.
