After binding bim to secreoy Moral informed him that he had jnet thrown a bomb. He believed the King had not been touched, but that there were other yiotims, He aßked to be hiddeD. Nakens induced a friend to shelter Moral for the night on the plea that he was a persecuted journalist who feared arrest on aooount of the attempt on the life of the King. Moral lett next morning. Nakens in hie statement said he personally depreoated the attempt at assassination, but that it was impossible to betray one who had confided in him. He aoted in acoordanoe with his convictions,.not beoanse he sympathised with bis ideas, whioh he had always strongly opposed. The explanation has created a profound seesation in Madrid.
