Wellington, la-t night. A dispute between the Wellington Rugby Union and Referees’ Association rogarding the appointment of referees was pacticaffy settled to night. The Union acoepted a compromise suggested by referees. The appointments will bs controlled by a board (subject to the Union), consisting of three members of the Referees’ Association, two of the Union’s committee, and two appointed by the team.
