SHEEP CASE.
At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning Mr Barton, S M., delivered judgment in the case of W. Picken (Mr Alston ColemaD) v. 0. E. Birtram (Mr Lysoar), claim for £47 10s on the sale of sheep. The cbs3 was heard on the 31st ult. In giving judgment Mr Birton said that after considering the evidence, he had oome to the conclusion that the ages of the aheep had been misrepresented. He was satisfied on that point. O.i the second point, as to the value of the sheep, he had weighed the evidence in that connection, and he thought, taking the different values plaoed upon the sheep, aod the fact that Mr Picken had suffered lobb, he would plaoed the compensat'on to be paid to Mr Pioken at Is 6i a bead. Mr Picken wanted the Bbeap for breeding purposes, abd bed sold older sheep to make room for the new sheep. Judgment was given for plaint’ff for £ls, costs £7 17s 6d.
