On Thursday, Empiro Day, a infttoh for dinners at the Record Reign Hotol was played by sides of eight piokod by Messrs Balnemis and Paro Koiha, The result was a draw, and eaoh side had to pay for tho other’s dinner, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Tho links wore in very good order with the exooption of tho first and last hole, wboro tho grass is still rather long. Tho putting greens are excellent, and reflect every credit to the oarotakor. On Saturday the first monthly competition against Colonel Bogey was played, and resulted as follows! —Anderson 9 down, Galnoavis 4 down, R. Barker 6 down, Buokerldge 12 down, Butler 10 down, Keiba 2 down, Luitrell 9 down, There are still the soores of the Thursday player, to oome in, but it will be a very good round that will take the prize from Mr PareKeiha, whoplayed a very good game. A lot of new members have joined the olub this year, and show great interest in the gam?, and with the splendid weather we are having everything points to a most successful season,
