There was a goodly number of pl»y«» on the above Club’s green on Saturday afternoon, when good practice games were indulged in in view of the return match With the Gisborne Clnb. One matoh in the competition for Mr Young’s trophies was played, and brings the competition near to a oloae. The result was

Thia proved an easy viotory for Devery and Nasmith, who were 5 to thair opponents' 1 on the sth head, 12 to 2 on the -,loth, and 16 to 7on the 15th head. Receiving a handioap of 2 points, Dsvery and Nasmith thus won as above. The results of the competition so far give Bennett and Humphreys the lead with five wins and one loss, Davery and Nasmith, jar. eeoond with four wins aad two losses, and the pairs skipped by Young and Colley third place with three Wins and two losses.
