PETROLEUM SHARES.
(Pu Preia Association.) New Plymouth, last night. Tenders were opened yesterday for 880 preference shares of £1 each in the Moturca Petroleum Company. Tbo applica'ions totalled 676. the highest price offered being £lO I2s 6d, and the average about £9. Tenders came from all pai-la of the oolony There is every indication, that tbe capital in the new company will be quickly subscribed when the prospectus is issued The boro is still looking remarkably well.
