The St. Petersburg correspondent of the London Tribune reports that the officers and four regiments, including two Imperial Guard regiments, were plotting for the arrest of members of the Douma and to proclaim General Trepoff Dictator, and coerce the Czar into abolishing the Douma. Owing to Palace intrigues Professor Muromtzeff failed to obtain tin audience,, though the Court chamberlain offered to; convey the Douma’s address to the Czar. Bureaucrats are resorting to every stratatageni to prevent a proclamation of amnesty.
