William James Hearns, sged 26, single, while shunting was cut to pieces by a coal truck. He was the son of an old railway hand, and well known in connection with first aid work.

Catherine Cbyoowetb, who was knocked dawn by a tramcar in Kent Terrace on Wednesday night and severely irjured, died in the hospital this morning. Waipawa, last m'ght, John James Dowd, Bingie, aged 32, was killed whilst bush falling at Gwavas.
