A GIRL'S DEATH.
EVIDENCE OF AN UNREGISTERED NURSE.
(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. Tho inquest on the girl Matthewson was continued to-day. The prinoipa! witness was Mrs Norman, an unregistered nursp, in whose house the girl died. Witnets' evidence was given unsat’sfactorily. She admitted that other s’ngie girls attended her bouseß in various parts of tbe eity for accDuobment purposes. Ou beiog pressed she said that at one time she lived in Punsonby road, Auckland. Witness said deceased had slsttd ber friend was in the Drainsga Board’s employ. Witness was unable to identify the man who called to see deceased tho afternoon she died, and who f&id he would sie her thiough her trouble. Tbe qnly other witoe-s ex.mined was Kate Elizabeth Goodman, a ssrvqot of Mrs Noi man.
The ii quest was then further adj mrned until June Ist to enable the pjlioeto in ler further inquiries respecting ihe movements of deosased prior to her going to Mrs Norman's house.
