Yesterday afternoon there took place the best game yet scon on tb9 above club's green, when Nasmith aud Martin met io the final for the championship of tho club. The result was : Martin 19 Nasmith 17 Nasmith secured tho had, but Marlin quickly wrested it, being 5 to 3 on the sth head. Sooriog qnick'y Martin reached 11 against 6 on tbe 10th head. Nasmith, who was playing steadily, drow level on tbe 13th head —ll all, aod on the 16th hßad the Bfnes were again even, 14 all. A diog-doDg “go ” ta the finish then lock place, Martin eventually winning by the narrow margin of two points.
