HELP FROM NEW ZEALAND. (Per Press Association.) WelliogtoD, last night. On making inquiries the New Zealand Government has ascettaincd that the famine in Japan and ths hardships endured by the people are more severe than was at first thought to be the ease, the Japanese Government baviDg intimated that the effects of the famine were underestimated, and that it was prepared to receive as ijtanoe. The New Zealand Gr» vernment has forwarded £IOOO as a contribution from thiß oolony for the relief of the suffering.
