Great interest is centred in the appearance at Hie Majesty’s Theatre to-morrow oight of Mr B. G. Knowles, the very amous oom9iian, under the ausp : oja of Mr J. 0. Williamson’s management. Mr Knowles is on a tour of the world, with an original monologue entertainment, which is the result of many years of travel and i o ireful preparation, and to those who i would journey to the land of fun, piloted by a humorous guide, an excellent oppor* tunity presents itself. Mr Knowles’enter.-* tainment is in no wise of the variety order, but is best described by himself as " be« tween the music hall and the lecture platform, and bridging the ohasm between the two.” Mr Knowles is out to entertain, and his effort 11 The Songs and Stories of . the Stage ” is said to be the most irresistibly funny performanoo seen for years, He will be assisted by Mrs R. G. Knowles, a celebrated ban joist, and a great portion of his travelling experiences will be bio* graphically illustrated by a special bioscopist who is with the company. Itfr Knowles was recently described in the English press as a worthy compeer of the I great George Grossmith ; his advent promises many hours of hilarious hilaiity.
