At an inquiry into the fiie on the Eteamer Mimiro on April 10, the evidence showed there was no eiga of spontaneous combustion, The jury returned a verdict that the fire was caueed by outward application, but there was nothing to show by whom or how applied. In order to enable Mr Justice Edwards to prooeed to Dunedin in' ponnection with the Meikle Commission, Mr Justico Chapman hae, at the request of the Premier, arranged to take the Gisborno circuit sittings after the Bitting of the Arbitration Oouit there. The Arbitration Court sits in Gisborne on May 2ad, aod the Supreme Court on the 7tb. The sitting of the Arbitration Court at Auckland will be resumed after the Gisborne oirouit sittings. The Court of Appeal has oonoluded the ca?es s.t down, and sits to deliver judgments on Friday. Mr Dixon, manager of the 11 All Black ’’ tour, has been voted a speoial bonus of £IOO.
