TROUBLE IN RUSSIA.
HANGING OF FATHER GAPON. By telegraph, Press Ass’n, Copyright St. Petersburg, April 23. It is reported in Russia that four revolutionary laborers hanged Father Gapon after overhearing that he was trying to persuade a revolutionary leader to become a police spy like himself. Two thousand Catholics, endeavoring to recapture a oburoh in Wareawjdistiict, had a fieroe enoouoter with the s°ot known as Mariaites. Twelve persons were killed and fifty wounded, The Mariarites would not allow surgeons to tend their wounded.
