ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Pot Press Association.) Invercargill, laßt night. Samuel Pomeroy, aged 19 year?, was riding a bieycle on Sunday, when he ran into a horse, whioh kicked him in the fsoe. His skull was fractured, his dobb brokon, and a deep wound sustained in the forehead. There are hopes of his rroovery. Blenheim, last night. Jonathan Lawrenoe, 12 years of age, the sod of a Iccal builder, was acc'dent ally ebot at Flaxbourne yesterday while out sbootiDg with some other boys. The police have gone out to bold an inquest. Gore, last nigbt. The body of Joseph Bourgeis, drowned off the Waikakv dredge on S.turday, was recovered on Snnday. At the inquest the evidence showed that deceased and his mate were hauling themselves ashore in a pnnt by a bow line. The bow of the punt dipped under, and shipped seme water. The men lost their heads, and jumped overboard.- - A verdict of accidentally drowned, no blame being attachable to anyonp, was returned. .
Auokland, last nigbt. John Madill, aged 41 years, was found dead in a drain at Tnakau with bis throat cut with a razor, whioh was found beside the body. It is supposed deceased committed suicide. Madill resided at Meroary Bay, and was on a visit to bis unole at Tnakau. He left the la'ter’s plaoe abruptly early on Saturday morning.
