Rons Haodioap—Kaffirpan 1, Blaster 2, -%_Jjnpbera 3. Eleven started, Blaster and Lioohine were promiaent into the straight. Keffirpan went to the front and won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 2.23. Plaoe Haodioap—Boabdil 1, Chaperon 2, Marvel Loch 3. There were six starters. Chaperon led into tbs straight. Boabdil came oat at the distanoe and won by two lengths. Time, 2,26£. Second Steeplechase—Up-to-date 1, Aarioulum 2, Grattan 3. There were five starters. Grattan led at the start. Coming down the hill Up-to-date went to the front and won easily by six lengths. Time 7.25, Plate—Tartan (Clayton) 1, Tatterdemalion (Carden) 2, Prooeedor (Chevally) ,3. The betting was 5 to 2 on Tartan, 3 to 1 Prooeedor, 8 to 1 Tatterdemalion. Also started: Signature. Prooeedor made the running, followed by Signature, Tatterdemalion, and Tartan in that order to the last mile. Prooeedor led into the straight; Tartan heading him a little later, went on and won by two lengths. Tatterdemalion beat Prooeedor by a bead. Time, 5.36 J. Seoond Nursery Stakes—Melodrama 1, Hardy 2, Hapsburg and Poseidon a dead heat for third plaoe. There were eighteen, starters. The betting was 7 to 2 Castaway, 15 to 1 Melodrama. Won by a length.
