Four lads wore brought before the Juvenilp Court charged with stealing a Quantity of tools from the Otago Foundry during the Easier holidays. Two were committed to the Industrial School, and the 3 other two, who had been previously convicted for a like offence, were ordered to reoeive a birching of twelve Btrokes ® B ?bree of the oldest teachers in thi Otago education service have resigned or superannuation, Damoly. Messrs Mi n (Oaversbam), Reid (Tokomaimo), Bartoi lP Mr°Mackenzie, M.H.R., is moving i the direction of appointing a specialist i agriculture to give instruction in tb primary schools of Otago.
