An iDquest was held to day touching the death of George 0. 11. Victor Brookes, aged 15 years, The evidence showed that deoeased purchased a toy pisto', and placed a cartridge in it. The hammer beiog stiff, deoeased placed the muzzle against his stomach, and tried to push the hammer back, when it slipped, and tha oharge exploding the bullet entered his abdomaD, and probably lodged in the muscles of the back. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death, with a rider expressing the desirability of some legislative enaotment by whioh the indiscriminate sale of firearmi, particularly to juveniles, should bo curtailed.
