DEMAND FOR COAL. N**W (Par Press Anioolatloa.) Dunedin, last night. The funds of tho Dunedin Hospital wore benefited lo tho extent of £1 13) 7d as tho result of a collection made when the Wellington Central Mission Band played in the grounds yeßt9rday. The Westport Coal Company beiDg unable to supply the demand for ooal, it has been decided to put on a double shift at Denniston mine, as well as at Granity Creek. This will give the company an output of 300 tons per day.
