An inquiry into the strandmg of the cruiser Dongal showed it was dus to a flip made by a lieutenant in marking a card showing the coursa. Captain Grogan was severely reprimanded for not seeing the error. Lieutenant Jones forfeited a year’s seniority, and was dismissed the ship, -
